ADVISING: April 9th
will be held at the Temple on
Friday, April 9th from 1-3pm
We will be advising at the Temple in room 347 this time as opposed to our normal location. So just come to Temple and get advised at the same time!
How important is it to get advised? If you do not get advised on this date, you may not know what to register for. If you don't know what to register for, the classes you need may get canceled before you register. The classes you need get canceled, you don't graduate on time. For that matter, if your fellow classmates don't get advised, there's a chance classes you need to graduate will get canceled because those same classmates failed to register on time. That means COME TO ADVISING AND DRAG YOUR CLASSMATES WITH YOU!

ATLANTA – The Savannah College of Art and Design animation department announces its first animation film fest, AtlantAmation, to be held Friday, April 9, 7 p.m., at the historic Earl Smith Strand Theater, 117 North Park Square, Marietta, Ga. The event features the screening of animated short films by some of the university’s most talented student animators.
AtlantAmation showcases independently animated films and group projects from SCAD’s undergraduate and graduate animation programs in Atlanta. Among the featured shorts at this year’s event is the world premiere of the student and faculty collaborative piece, "Jaguar McGuire.”
“SCAD prepares students for professional careers through collaborative initiatives,” says Tina O'Hailey, associate chair of animation. “The film ‘Jaguar McGuire’ is the result of a 2D/3D collaborative project between classes that promoted a cooperative team spirit among animation students.”

Art History of Games Lecture tonight!
“Art History for Game Devs” is the fun, informative art history class that you never had. John Sharp, an art historian and game designer, surveys the history of art and its production, use and status. In the process, Sharp touches on the invention of "Art," the role of technology in its creation, and the impact of industrialization and mechanization on its current state. "Art History for Game Devs" also looks at the strong parallels between the birth of "Art” during the Renaissance and the rise of computer and video games.
