Hope no one minds me changing the format of the post so we can see how well the pages read next to one another as if they were side-by-side in a book. It made it easier to see how Joy effectively uses layout to emphasize emotional content. In the pages where he's drawing her his ability, and probably relief, to release his love on paper is reflected in the open layouts while the other pages, where his fear keeps it in and hidden, are much denser giving his contained emotions visual weight. Very nice... and a completely creepy ending to me!
